I was asked by eShakti to do a review post of their company. Please keep in mind, I am no model and my husband is no fashion photographer but...we did our best!
This is what eShakti told me about their company...
"eShakti is a unique women’s apparel store online that allows custom changes in the style of the garment – sleeve, neckline, length can all be changed by the customer to her preference. We are the only company offering all styles in all sizes: 0-36W & Custom!
eShakti’s custom capabilities allow shoppers to easily tailor any item to their specific requirements ensuring a flattering fit and unique look. Built-in online customization tools allow women to modify original fashions to fit their size, shape and personal style. Unlike traditionally-tailored clothing, eShakti’s incredibly quick turnaround time allows customers to receive their custom-made look within a week of ordering!
In addition to the size and style personalization, we are now presenting, for the first time by any apparel brand - the choice to have embellishments or not... so one can dress up or down or the way they like it... personalizing a unique dress or top or skirt that is to one's style, color, size, embellishment preference. Only at eShakti!

The Internet allows us to be extremely customer-centric by enabling the buying to be inter-active. Shakti means power in Sanskrit. eShakti therefore means the power of the Net. We believe the Internet empowers customers and helps companies be customer-centered. We ship across the USA & Canada."
They asked me to choose one of their products to try for myself and write a review about. I chose this dress...
On their website, you can pick the dress you want and order it either in a standard size or you can send custom measurements and have it made just for you! You can also choose a different neckline, sleeve length, and skirt length. I was excited that they do custom measurements. I am only 5'0" and I often see dresses I like but unless they are sold in "petite" or can be shortened, I am limited to what I can purchase. eShakti also allows you to add embellishments to truly create your own piece.
I sent my order and measurements and my custom-made dress arrived...get this..exactly 7 days after I placed the order! Wow! I am really impressed with their turn-around time!
The dress is lightweight and comfortable. It fits very well, and I feel good in it knowing it fits right!
I chose to get the sleeveless top on it which will easily allow me to transition it from cooler weather with this cardigan I already owned to warmer weather without the cardigan.
The bottom of the dress has embroidery of reeds and cranes in blues and greens. It is quite lovely! The embroidery itself is well done with no loose strings on the underside - very well made! I also love the waist detail. It has a band with little lines of the blue and green color going around it. It is a fit that is flattering for many different body types.
The first day I wore it I got TONS of compliments on it. I was excited to share with people that it is custom made and from a company I just found out about called eShakti. I know one person who says she is definitely going to place an order herself!

I loved this line from eShakti's description of their company...
This company intentionally centers its mission on the customers' individual needs and interests and it does so with stylish, affordable clothing.
| {dress: eShakti, cardigan: Dorothy Perkins, necklace and bracelet: Liz Claiborne, shoes: A2, sunglasses: Rave, tights: unknown} Some of my other favorites from eShakti... |
